Spruce the Nest
This is a fun, hands-on day where parents, students, and staff come together to help tidy up our school grounds. We’ll pull weeds, plant flowers, spread mulch, and make our campus shine for the new school year. Every helping hand makes a difference—and it’s a great way to show school pride while spending time with our Hawks Nest family.
Kingergarten Signing Day
Kindergarten Signing Day is a special celebration where our newest Hawks take their very first step into the Hawks Nest family! Incoming students get to “officially” sign in as part of our school community, meet their teachers, and take fun photos. It’s a joyful, memorable way to mark the start of an exciting educational journey!
Family Movie Night
Our annual Family Movie Night is a favorite Hawks Nest tradition! Each year, families gather in the school gym or under the stars for a fun, family-friendly movie, complete with concessions, games, and plenty of laughter. It’s a relaxing evening to kick back, connect with friends, and make memories together.

Spirit Nights
Several times each year, we partner with local businesses to host School Spirit Nights—fun evenings where Hawks Nest families can gather, enjoy a meal or activity, and support our school at the same time. A portion of the night’s sales is donated back to the PTO, helping fund programs, events, and resources for our students. It’s a win-win: you get a great night out, and our Hawks benefit from your school spirit!
Spring Fest
Spring Fest is a fun-filled family event that brings our school community together for an evening of excitement and connection. Enjoy games, delicious food trucks, face painting, an online auction, and so much more! There’s something for every age to enjoy, making it the perfect way to celebrate spring while supporting Hawks Nest PTO programs and activities.
Teacher Appreciation Week
Teacher Appreciation Week is a special time dedicated to celebrating the hard work, dedication, and positive impact of our amazing Hawks Nest teachers and staff. Throughout the week, the PTO organizes thoughtful activities, treats, and surprises to show our gratitude and make our educators feel valued and celebrated. It’s our way of saying “thank you” for all they do to inspire and support our students every day.
5th Grade Dance
The 5th Grade End-of-Year Dance is a special night just for our graduating Hawks! Students celebrate the end of their elementary school journey with music, dancing, games, and plenty of fun with friends. It’s a chance to make lasting memories, take photos, and enjoy one final celebration together before soaring off to middle school. Hosted by the PTO, this event is a highlight of the year for our oldest Hawks!
Santa Shop
Santa Shop is a festive holiday event where Hawks Nest students can shop for gifts for family and friends—all at affordable prices! With a wide selection of fun, thoughtful presents, kids enjoy the excitement of picking out surprises while learning about giving and budgeting. The PTO helps create a magical shopping experience that spreads holiday cheer and makes gift-giving easy for everyone.
Duty Free Fridays
Duty-Free Fridays are where parent volunteers cover lunch duty for teachers of a rotating grade level. This gives our hardworking teachers a well-deserved break to enjoy their lunch without any responsibilities. It’s a simple way to show appreciation and support, helping teachers recharge so they can keep inspiring our Hawks all day long!

Dine-to-Donate
Throughout the school year, Hawks Nest PTO partners with local restaurants for Dine to Donate nights. Families and friends can enjoy a meal out while a portion of the proceeds is donated back to our school. It’s an easy and delicious way to support Hawks Nest programs and activities—just dine at participating businesses and mention our PTO!
Stock the Lounge
Once each semester, Hawks Nest PTO hosts Stock the Lounge, a special event where we refresh and replenish the teacher lounge with snacks, drinks, and treats. This thoughtful gesture helps show our appreciation by giving teachers a cozy, well-stocked space to relax and recharge during their busy days. It’s a simple way to say thank you and support our amazing staff!
Penny Wars
Penny Wars is a fun and friendly competition where classes collect spare change to raise money for the Hawks Nest PTO. Students bring in pennies to add to their own class’s jar—and try to “sabotage” other classes by adding silver coins or bills, which count against their totals! It’s a lively way to encourage teamwork, school spirit, and community support while raising funds for our school. Let the penny battles begin!
